A new form of QCD coherence for multiple soft emissions using Glauber-SCET

The amplitude for multiple soft gluon emissions, ordered in their relative softness, can be written as a product of infrared (IR) divergent loop-expanded currents and the matrix elements. In more recent work, Angeles-Martinez, Forshaw Seymour \cite{Angeles-Martinez:2016dph} (AMFS) showed that result this fact re-expressed an evolution approach, involving \textit{IR finite} one-loop insertions where virtual loop momentum is constrained highly non-trivial way by $k_T$ adjacent real emissions. thus exhibits novel level QCD coherence IR divergences originating only from very last, softest, emission remain, rest cancel. proof AMFS at QCD, however, involves many diagrams, after carefully grouping summing over all diagrams does correct ordering variable emerge, making higher order extension challenging task. Moreover, compact, Markovian nature final suggestive deeper underlying physics obscured derivation using traditional diagrammatic QCD. By considering (recursive) sequence effective field theories (EFTs) with Glauber-SCET operators, we present elegant handful diagrams. SCET offers clean physical insights, makes tractable.
